44x300mm Masonry Joist Hanger with Welded Construction

Designed to withstand a minimum crushing strength of 3.5N/mm, this versatile hanger is also suitable for timber-to-timber and timber-to-steel applications. Securely fasten the masonry flange to your timber or steel beams using appropriate fixings, ensuring long-term safe working load of up to 3.5 kN.

Effortless Installation of the 44x300mm Masonry Joist Hanger

• Ensure the back plate of the hanger lies flat against the vertical masonry support,
• Avoid placing the masonry flange in dry slots,
• Masonry flange should have a minimum of 3 courses (675mm masonry) above,
• Use the correct strength mortar in accordance with British Standard guidelines,
• Allow both the supporting and above masonry to mature before applying any load,
• Ensure the joist is square cut and sits snugly against the back of the hanger with a maximum permissible gap of 6mm,
• Secure the side flanges with 30 x 3.75mm galvanized square twist nails or equivalent,
• Enhance lateral restraint by employing HD Straps,
• Select corrosion-resistant fixings suitable for the application,
• avoiding the use of galvanized fixings with stainless steel products or vice versa.
