Owatrol D1 PRO Wood Saturating Oil with UV Protection

D.1 PRO OWATROL® brand oil enriched with an additional amount of particles increasing resistance to UV rays. It is the right choice for the species of hard, exotic trees. It has excellent properties of the "host" of wood - complementing the natural oil already missing in the structure. The use of D1 PRO improves the ease of maintenance, eliminating grinding or abrasion. At the same time, it emphasizes the original color of the wood of all the indicated species.

Painting places are everywhere outside and inside, where we have elements and ready-made objects made of hard, exotic wood, e.g. stairs, doors and windows, as well as garden furniture, facades, fences and even roof tiles.

PROPERTIES:

Prior to application, the target surfaces must be clean, dry and free from mold and previous layers - if any. For mold and fungus, we recommend using a diluted bleach in water in a proportion of 50 to 50. After cleaning, let the wood dry for 2-3 days, so that the maximum humidity is 18%. If only we have such a possibility - make a test. Cover the surfaces in contact with the painting area. Choose days that are equal to the weather, i.e. dry and rainless for at least 24 hours after painting.

Fresh wood:

• Remove the glaze formed during the processing in the sawmill with Owatrol AQUANETT and neutralize with NET-TROL. For species such as Padouk, Iroko or Azobe, leave it to season for at least 12 months

Seasoned wood, not impregnated:

• If it has been seasoned for more than 12 months - neutralize with NET-TROL, if it is very dirty, first apply AQUANETT and then neutralize with NET-TROL

Other oils and sealants:

• Remove with AQUANETT and neutralize with NET-TROL
• Oil or alkyd paints - in this case use DILNUETT, then NET-TROL

Surfaces covered with paints:

• Acrylic - Old paint layers should be completely removed with PREPDECK and neutralized with NET-TROL
• Polyurethane, Epoxy, ..- for removal use CDKP90 and neutralize with acetone.
• HOW TO USE:
• Oil application using the "wet on wet" method:
• Apply the well-mixed D.1 PRO agent in the first thick layer in the grain direction.
• After 15 minutes, apply the second layer, it may be earlier if the first one has managed to soak in
• Apply wet-on-wet until the wood does not accept subsequent layers, making sure that the layer does not dry out during the layer
• DRYING TIME:
• at 20 ° C - 24 h
• stabilization time 1-3 days for pavement use
• EFFICIENCY: The first saturation 1-4 m2 / l; for maintenance 8-12 m2 / l
• TEMPERATURE: Use between + 5 ° C and + 35 ° C.
• TOOLS: Brush with synthetic bristles, roller
• CLEANING OF TOOLS: with white spirit immediately after completion of the work
